Letter from Dr Edward Trevor, Cove [Cobh], County Cork, medical superintendent of convicts, to Henry Goulburn, Chief Secretary, Dublin Castle, 24 December 1821, enclosing list of names of the 100 female convicts embarked onboard the ship 'Woodman', and a list of other female convicts held in Cork depot awaiting embarkation [none present], and offering government the opportunity of swapping any convicts already embarked, for those awaiting departure. Trevor also encloses a list of names of the wives and children of convicts in New South Wales, Australia, 'who have been granted leave to proceed to that Colony'. This list is present, and contains the name of each wife, and the names and ages of each of their children, totalling 44 individuals. List signed by Trevor [24 December 1822]. |

Annexed to warrant is copy of Burke's petition to Earl Talbot, requesting that a licence be granted to Wallace. Also warrant issued By Richard Wellesley, 1st marquis Wellesley, Lord Lieutenant, Dublin Castle, authorising Wallace to act as counsel against the crown, on behalf of Maurice and Lawrence Buckley, at their forthcoming trial at County Westmeath assizes in Mullingar; signed by Wellesley and by William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, 16 July 1822.
