Postscript added to letter, 5 July 1821, reporting news of outrages in County Kildare, including an attack on police by a large 'mob', in order to release 3 men who had been arrested; and also the violent assault of a woman by 9 men, 'in consequence of her having sworn a Rape some time since against a Man who has fled to England'. |

Encloses letter from Logie to Carter, 6 July 1821, ordering him to report to Logie respecting the accounts of the Inishowen police establishment, and in turn, enclosing the order from Edward Hardman, excise office, Dublin, secretary to commissioners of excise in Ireland, to Logie, instructing him to obtain accounts from Carter, 30 June 1821.
