Also letter from M Kirwan, Chief Constable, Kenmare, [County Kerry], to Miller, explaining that Townsend was seized by bailiffs for debt at the Scattully Petty Sessions but his fellow magistrate refused to interfere or give directions to the constabulary and ordered the bailiffs out of the court; stating that he will initiate legal proceedings if it was stated that he refused a request for assistance from the bailiffs.
